Preference Manager

MultiZilla is about giving you the freedom of configuring it the way you want, thus we had to add a large number of new preference panels, but switched to our own Preference Manager with MultiZilla v1.5.0.2, which was completely redesigned for MultiZilla v1.8.3.2c.

The following page jumps page jump icon are available:

Content Panel
Introduction (recently changed in a nightly)
The Content preferences (or settings) panel gives you control over...
Conveniences (recently added in a nightly)
Image of: Content Panel - Conveniences Tab
Auto Scroll
If this is checked then clicking the middle mouse button on the page enables auto scrolling, which lets you scroll up and down the document by just moving the mouse up and down and not using the scrollbars or the mouse scroll-wheel.
Context menu protection
This drop-down detects when a website tries to change or block your right-click (context) menu for a page. You can choose to allow the change/block, to always override the change or to ask you each time. If you choose to have MultiZilla ask you each time, you will need to then dismiss the menu and right-click again to have your selected action occur.

Content Blocker (recently added in a nightly)
Image of: Content Panel - Content Blocker Tab
Category:
Images
This radio controls whether or not image will be allowed to load (see note).
Plugins
This radio controls whether or not Plugins like Java and Flash (for example) will be allowed to load (see note).
Scripts
This radio controls whether or not Scripts will be allowed to load (see note).
Frames
This radio controls whether or not Frames will be allowed to load (see note).
Documents
This radio controls whether or not Documents will be allowed to load (see note).
Note: The above default settings are the lowest in the priority scheme i.e. the Content Blocker will first check the permissions and then your white/black list filter set to see what it should do (load, ask or block).
Policy:
Disabled
Selecting this radio will disable MultiZilla's Content Blocker for the corresponding category.
Note: SeaMonkey's build-in image blocker can use the image permissions to block images as well (for as long as you don't set any permissions to "ask me").
Allow
Selecting this radio will allow all items in the corresponding category, this with the exception of black listed hosts (permissions) or locations matching your white list (filters).
Ask
Selecting this radio will block items in the corresponding category and ask you what you want to do with them (allow or block items), this with the exception of white/black listed hosts (permissions) or locations matching your white list (filters).
Note: This option should be used with extreme precaution for the image category as it has been reported (your mileage may very) to trigger a crash in the SeaMonkey source code on certain platforms.
Limited
Selecting this radio will block all items in the corresponding category that aren't from the origination host, this with the exception of white listed hosts (permissions) or locations matching your white list (filters). This option is sometimes referrer to as cross domain blocking.
Block
Selecting this radio will block all items in the corresponding category, this with the exception of white listed hosts (permissions) or locations matching your white list (filters).
Notifications (per category)
Show a Browser Info Message when {category} are blocked
Tick this checkbox when you want it to show a Browser Info Message (BIM) for blocked content (see note). Please note that frames will show an error page instead of a Browser Info Message this option is currently still broken/non-functional.
Play a sound when {category} are blocked
Tick this checkbox when you want it to play a sound when items are blocked (see note).
Play a sound for the first blocked {category} only (recommended setting)
Tick this checkbox when you want it to play a sound for the first blocked item only (see note).
Note: Where {category} is one of the five Content Blocker categories, and these settings are on a per category basis!

Advanced (recently added in a nightly)

Auto Complete
Force auto-complete to remember your login/password
Some sites, like online banks, disable SeaMonkey's password manager for remembering passwords. This option bypasses that override and allows you to remember passwords from those sites.
Remove 'onsubmit' from forms (needed for Yahoo)
You need to remove the onsubmit from forms on sites like Yahoo! and that's what this preference will do, it removes the onsubmit.
Automatic page refresh
Enable automatic page refresh specified by META/HTTP refresh
If this is checked then if a page specifies an automatic refresh or redirect (either with an HTML <meta> tag or through an HTTP header) it will be allowed. If this is checked then you can fine-tune this with the drop-down box. You can select that automatic refreshing is allowed, that it is blocked or you can choose to be asked each time. You can also choose to have an automatic page refresh through a <meta> tag converted to MultiZilla's own page reload function (available by right-clicking a tab selecting Reload tab(s) ).
