Preference Manager

MultiZilla is about giving you the freedom of configuring it the way you want, thus we had to add a large number of new preference panels, but switched to our own Preference Manager with MultiZilla v1.5.0.2, which was completely redesigned for MultiZilla v1.8.3.2c.

The following page jumps page jump icon are available:

General Panel
Introduction
The General preferences (or settings) panel gives you control over...
Appearance (recently changed in a nightly)
Image of: General Panel - Appearance Tab
Use MultiZilla Preference Manager
If this is checked then middle-clicking on the QuickPrefs button will show only the MultiZilla preferences tree in the prefs window.
Use MultiZilla XPInstall Confirmation Window
If this is checked, then the Seamonkey XPInstaller will be replace with that of MultiZilla, which provides much more information than the default.
Use Stacked Windows for MultiZilla Managers
If this is checked, then the Tab-, Session-, Permission- and User Agent managers will cause all child windows to be opened on the exact position of the parent window, but stacked windows cannot be moved. The content of new stacked windows will be displayed like a curtain i.e. from top to bottom, while normal windows will (try to) display everything at once.
Note: selecting stacked windows on OS/2 might result in a crash!
Remove button icons and additional styling (for Mac OSX)
This is a Windows 95/98/ME/2000 specific preference for people that are forced to use the classic Windows theme (it selects specific CSS rules in our stylesheets to make it look right).
Hide the sidebar tabs and show View button
If this is checked then the tabs in the sidebar (Bookmarks, History, etc) will be hidden and a button called 'View' will be shown at the top of the sidebar with a drop-down menu letting you access all the panels of the sidebar. This gives you more screen space for your sidebar.

Navigation Toolbar Buttons
From here you can select what buttons should be shown on the Navigation toolbar (ie the one with the Back/Forward buttons). The only two buttons that aren't standard SeaMonkey buttons are the QuickPrefs and Clear URLbar buttons. The first of these lets you put the Quick Prefs Menu button on the Navigation toolbar and the second adds a button to clear the contents of the location bar with a single click.
Personal Toolbar Buttons
Choose what buttons should be visible on the Personal toolbar. As well as the SeaMonkey buttons, you can put the Quick Prefs Menu button there.
MultiZilla Toolbar Buttons
Choose which of the MultiZilla buttons should be visible on the MultiZilla toolbar.
Bookmarks
Image of: General Panel - Bookmarks Tab
Open new tabs for bookmarks in the background
If this is selected then when you middle-click on bookmarks using the bookmarks button, menu or sidebar, to open a new tab, the currently selected tab will retain focus while the new tab opens in the background. If this is unticked, then the newly opened tab will come to the fore.
Enable middle-click in bookmark menus (opens a new tab)
If this is selected then you can middle-click on a bookmark in the bookmarks button, menu or sidebar to open that bookmark in a new tab.
Close bookmark menu after mouse middle-clicks
If this is ticked then after you middle-click on a bookmark in the bookmarks menu or button, the menu will close. If this is unticked, you can open multiple bookmarks quickly and then click outside the bookmarks menu to close it.
When bookmark folders are opened, add
MultiZilla can add extra items to a bookmarks folder, and you can choose which to add from here.
Open folder in tabs
Open all the items in this bookmarks folder in new tabs in the current window
Open folder in windows
Open each of the items in this bookmarks folder in new windows
Open folder in a window
Open each of the items in this folder in tabs in a new window
Use folder as home page
Select this folder as your home page so that each item in it will be opened when you select your homepage
Disable the extra menu items for the Personal Toolbar
If this is checked then the items above will not appear in folders on the Personal Toolbar.
When Groupmark folders are opened, add
MultiZilla can add extra items to groups of bookmarks (groupmarks). These items are the same as for bookmark folders, above.
Full Screen (recently changed in a nightly)

Enable Full Screen Mode
If this is selected then you can go into full screen mode by either pressing F11 or selecting the menu item View → Full Screen.
Enabled for first browser window only
Toolbars are normally hidden in Full Screen mode, so this preference makes it possible to display the toolbars for the first full screen browser window only, or all Full Screen windows.

The toolbars in kiosk-style windows are normally hidden by default (chromeless) and this preference makes it possible to skip kiosk-styled windows. You might want the toolbars, but you might not want them in kiosk windows.
Use F11 to enable Chrome for kiosk-style browser windows
Using F11 will try to enable chrome i.e. change kiosk-styled windows into 'normal' browser windows so that you can open/close tabs etc.
Enable Adaptive Mode
Using F11 will try to enable chrome i.e. change kiosk-styled windows into 'normal' browser windows so that you can open/close tabs etc.
