Quick Preferences Menu
The QuickPrefs menu is our easy access mechanism to some of Mozilla's more oft-used preferences. This exists as a single button on the toolbar of your choice. It can be located on the MultiZilla toolbar, the Personal toolbar or the Navigation toolbar. The following functions are available from this menu.
This document will soon be replace with this new page. Note that the URL of this document won't be changed.

- Enable Prefetch data
- This option toggles whether or not to allow Mozilla to pre-fetch and cache certain links (eg images) while the browser is idle in order to speed up some forms of web browsing, but can also be a privacy issue. You can find more information about link prefetching on this Mozilla FAQ. Some discussion as to the negative points of link prefetching where available on a MozillaZine forum thread but seem to be deleted/removed!.

The Image menu allows you to control what images that are displayed. You can accept all images, only allow images from the originating server (useful for privacy) or block all images. You can also (un)block images from the current site, and manage what sites have images blocked through a dialog.
Cookie Settings allow you to control what cookies that are accepted. You can accept all cookies, only allow cookies from the originating server (useful for privacy) or block all cookies. You can also (un)block cookies from the current site, and manage what sites have cookies blocked through a dialog.
Popup Settings allow you to control how you see popups that you didn't specifically request (eg by clicking a link). You can either block unwanted popups entirely or block them on a per-site basis. Note: this option requires the appropriate preferences to be enabled.
Animation Settings control how animaged gifs display. You can have them loop as many times as the image specifies, only loop once or never loop at all.
Referrer Settings allow you to control when your HTTP referrer is sent to the requesting server. You can never send the referrer, only send it when you explicitly click a link or send it on links and images.
Referrer Spoofing can be useful to mask your trail on the web. You can send a fake referrer in place of your actual one. This is useful if a wehsite requires a referrer before allowing access, but you still want your privacy.
HTTP UserAgent Settings can be useful to fool those sites that block Mozilla for no reason (banks are often guilty of this). See our documentation on this for more details.
Proxy Settings let you change whether or not a proxy is used. This is a direct shortcut for the same prefs in the Preferences dialog.
Javascript Settings allows you change various settings as to how Javascript is allowed in Mozilla. You can disable it altogether and show various warnings and errors on the console (which are useful for debugging).
Cache Settings allows you to toggle the use of various caches.
Clear Cache Settings allows you to clear various caches individually or all in one go.
The Preferences editor allows you to change any preference in Mozilla on the fly.
