Today we released a GoogleBox version 1.4a. It is available for installation but please note that the download mirrors need up to 12 hours to update. Here's a quick list of changes, quick because it's already 2:00 AM for me, so good night and have fun :-)
- New features
- The GoogleBox has a new, cool looking, pref panel
- The GoogleBox no longer uses localstore.rdf but its own file called googlebox.rdf
- You can now open search results, by default, in a new tab
- You can now remove search items from the menu list (right-click on items)
- You can now specify flags that will be used by the Google search engine
- Two preferences are moved from the advanced, to the GoogleBox pref panel
- You can now limit the number of search items displayed in the menu list
Note: Some of the changes require MultiZilla v1.7.0.0 however, this version is not yet available. The feature that can't be used in versions prior to MultiZilla 1.7.0.0 will be grayed out on the GoogleBox pref panel!
- Fixed bugs
- 5385 "[GB] add a way to remove search items from the menu list"
- 5370 "[GB] replace goofy pref panel by something useful and functional"
- 5368 "[GB] F2 doesn't work when the MultiZilla toolbar is hidden/collapsed"
- 5363 "[GB] duplicated search entries added (special case)"
- 5362 "[GB] GoogleBox should use googlebox.rdf and not localstore.rdf"
- 5361 "[GB] menulist requires enter key after selection, or search query won't start"
- 5359 "[GB] Right click to set find conditions broken (context menu)"
- 5333 "[GB] GoogleBox doesn't handle some characters correctly"

- 3443 "[GB] GoogleBox search word buttons move on mouse hover"
We replaced multiviews-v1600.xpi (the current version of MultiZilla) because one of the files in the XPInstaller contained a prior version (revision D) of multiviews.jar. Thanks to Kenneth Marken for reporting this error.
A new MultiZilla release, version 1.6.0.0e is now available for installation. Please note that the download mirrors need up to 12 hours to update!
- New features
- The New Window Redirector should now work.
- Host list of blocked windows is now checked to prevent multiple selection dialogs to be displayed for the same host.
- We now display a tooltip with the URL, target and referrer of blocked windows. This tooltip will be displayed when you hover your mouse pointer of the menu items in our blocked popup menu.
- A new button 'Set Windows Features' is added to pref panel 'New Windows'. This button allows you to override new window settings from web sites like: menubar, scrollbars and status bar.
- We changed the new window redirector code and hope to have better support for named browser windows. This should prevent opening of multiple tabs/windows with the same target.
- Fixed bugs
- 5196 "Permission Manager throws JS errors/warnings on JS Console"
- 5260 "MultiZilla ignores mozilla pop up setting"
- 5308 "JS error in JS console after blocking popups from file:"
- 5313 "JS error after right-click in page to open context menu"
- 5314 "a click on the popup icon opens a new Permission Manager"
- 5315 "Permission Manager adds a new tree row with 'file' when I modify a tree row with 'scheme:file'"
- 5323 "a right-click on Add button in the permission manager opens a looking strange context menu"
You can help to improve MultiZilla by filing bug reports, with clear steps to reproduce. Thanks for testing and filing bug report.

Please try this revision update and let me know what you think of it. Thanks for testing.
A new MultiZilla release, version 1.6.0.0c is now available for download/installation. The most important change for this update is that we disabled that annoying dialog by default, this until further notice. I need more time to implement this feature. Also note that this feature was not supposed to be enabled by default.
- new method in tabbrowser.xml to enable/disable the selection dialog for new windows (default disabled).
- renamed pref panel 'Popups' to 'New Window' and some other minor changes.
- blocking of local files is now eneabled (displayed as "scheme:file" in permission manager).
- the ten most important Tab event listeners in multiviewsInit.js are now bundled to a single one.
A new MultiZilla release, version 1.6.0.0b is now available for download/installation.
- we now prevent duplicated links in the blocked popup menu on the status bar.
- a ctrl-click on a menu item in the blocked popup menu opens a new window (this was broken).
- mozilla's popup icon now opens the permission manager (this was broken).
- new pref settings added for pref panel 'New Windows'.
- removed most of the debug (dump) code to speedup MultiZilla.
A new MultiZilla release, version 1.6.0.0 is now available for download/installation. The most important fix for this release is the fix for bug 2517. Note that most of the 1.6.0.0 revision updates will be for this new feature!
A new MultiZilla release, version 1.5.0.4h is now available for download/installation. This update includes:
- patch for bug 5161 and bug 5166
- new feature: drag tabs from Tab Session Manager to any open browser windows.
- new feature: middle click on links in History window now opens the links in new tabs.
- new feature: middle click on links in History panel (sidebar) now opens the links in new tabs.
MultiZilla version 1.5.0.4g was somehow currupted. Some people reported that Menu/Help/About Mozilla/MultiZilla displayed v1.5.0.4c and that is not right! Please reinstall MultiZilla if a) the version number is incorrectly displayed or b) in case your context menu in Messenger is (still) broken (a lot or no menu items at all). Please report all related JS errors you see in the JS Console. Please keep in mind that the download mirrors need time to get in sync with mozdev.org. This might take as long as 12 hours!
A new MultiZilla release, version 1.5.0.4g is now available for download/installation. This revision update has a fix for bug 5110 and some minor cleanups. Thanks for testing this revision update.
A new MultiZilla release, version 1.5.0.4f is now available for download/installation. One of my patches for bug 5071 broke Messengers context menu (notice the weird looking context menu and two JS errors in the JS console). I simply forgot to verify my patches with Messenger. A very simple browser check solved this problem. Btw, we now also add the revision info to install.log (to verify bugs).
A new MultiZilla release, version 1.5.0.4e is now available for download/installation. This revision update has a new TSM (Tab Session Manager) property window and patches for bugs 5067, 5111 and 5071 (additional patch). Thanks for testing this revision update.
A new MultiZilla release, version 1.5.0.4d is now available for download/installation. I fixed a bunch of strict warnings that I had not seen before. Recent Mozilla builds don't display all strict warnings, at least not the MultiZilla related strict warnings from our overlay files!
A new MultiZilla release, version 1.5.0.4c is now available for download/installation. This revision update has a fix for bug 5054, 5060, 5065, 5067 and 5071. Thanks for testing this revision update.
A new MultiZilla release, version 1.5.0.4b is now available for download/installation. This revision update should fix several bugs. Bug 5054, 5058, 5059, 5064 and 5065 should now all be fixed. Please give this revision update a try and verify if the bugs are really fixed by now. Thanks for testing this revision update.
A new MultiZilla release, version 1.5.0.4a is now available for download/installation. This revision update has a fix for mozilla bug 225854. Thanks for testing this revision update.
A new version of OSXilla, version 0.54, is now available for download/installation. We only fixed the 'jumping scrollbar' bug, the one that was recently introduced by mozilla, nothing else.
A new MultiZilla release, version 1.5.0.4 is now available for download/installation. More information about bug fixes and enhancements will follow (early) next week.
A new update of MultiZilla, version 1.5.0.3p is now available for download/installation. Long hours went into this revision. Most of the work isn't even visible at first sight, however, we are sure you will like it because moving, duplicating and reopening of tabs is now more user friendly.
A new update of MultiZilla, version 1.5.0.3o is now available for download/installation. Bug 5003, 5006 and 5009 should now be fixed. Oh, and I also fixed a three month old undocumented/unfiled bug in tabbrowser.xml ;)
A new update of MultiZilla, version 1.5.0.3n is now available for download/installation. Bug 4974 [RFE] should now be fixed. MultiZilla also allows you to save a single tab, as tab session. Btw, there's also a new pref setting on the Links pref panel to force forms to open in a new tab, instead of a new window. Note: It might break on framed pages, because that is something I didn't test, but you can, if you like.
A new update of MultiZilla, version 1.5.0.3m is now available for download/installation. Bug 2691 should be fixed, because of the additional fix for bug 4883/4949 and bugs 4985, 4998, 4999 and 5000 (what a magic number) are now also fixed.
I've been updating our CVS tree, except for some MultiZilla icons/images but I hope to update these files later this week end.

HJ will be visiting friends in Spain, starting today, and work from that location. Please note that he won't have high speed Internet access in Spain. He might be unable to read his e-mail and our bug reports, but he hopes to visit Internet cafe's. Lets hope he finds one :)
HJ fixed most of the new bugs (filed after he left) and released version 1.3 of The GoogleBox with a patch for bug 4820. He also made a new MultiZilla update (version 1.5.0.3h) with several important bug fixes and some new features.
HJ returned today and fixed most of the current bugs. Note the new date format!
HJ and Neil will be unavailable until October 18 (at least) because of yet another funeral (-: Live is really hard on some of us, and we're complaining about bugs in MultiZilla!?!
A new update of MultiZilla, version 1.5.0.3g is now available for download/installation. Please visit our status update page for more information.

We released MultiZilla v1.5.0.3f just a sec ago and we hope you all like it as much as we do. Please feel free to join our mailing list, in case something isn't working or you would like to see something changed in a next release. And hey, don't forget to donate, that would make us even more happier.
HJ returned today but he now first needs some time to sleep/relax after being away for so long. Later...
The current MultiZilla nightly (v1.4.0.4) should work with Mozilla 1.4 (build 2003032500 and up) with one remark: the additional menu items from the Bookmarks pref panel are currently not available for the personal toolbar.
Today we released MultiZilla v1.4.0.3F with three additional bug fixes for MultiZilla v1.4.0.3E. Please read the release notes for more information.
Today we released MultiZilla v1.4.0.3(E) two weeks ahead of schedule. This version has a lot of bug fixes and also some nice new features. We kindly ask you to visit our new and updated release page for additional information. Not all features are currently fully listed, but Neil will take care of that on March 26.
Before leaving, HJ has fixed the following bugs since the last update: 3762, 3297, 3319, 3324, 3340, 3341, 3342, 3346, 3350, 3356, 3358, 3360, 3371, 3387, 3390, 3405, 3407, 3408, 3409, 3410, 3412
Lead developer HJ will be unavailable for the foreseeable future. During that time, work on MultiZilla will probably slow dramatically, but don't let that stop you from keeping finding and filing bugs.
Since the last update, the following bugs have been fixed: bugs 2432, 2434, 2450, 2452, 2459, 2474, 2480, 2483, 2484, 2486, 2489, 2490, 2522, 2524, 2528, 2539, 2540, 2564, 2599, 2657, 2675, 2788, 2859, 2918, 2922, 2962, 2987, 3030, 3113, 3125, 3132, 3137, 3150, 3155, 3158, 3184, 3219, 3233, 3234, 3238, 3241, 3272, 3293. Now that's an awful lot of bugs!
We released MultiZilla v1.3 and GoogleBox v0.8 today (MultiZilla jumped from version 1.1.34 to 1.3). We also fixed the theme bugs in OSXilla. Note: release notes will be updated on Monday (I hope).
Due to personal issues, HJ will not be available for the next few days, and the release of v1.1.34 has been postponed.
HJ has returned for a few days and hopes to fix some bugs while he's at home.
HJ will be away until further notice, meaning that further development on MultiZilla will be more or less suspended until he returns.
